Talu Dance Co. was founded in the summer of 2008, but has been brewing in the form of Talia Ruetenik's creative choreography for many years.
Talu's style is based in Graham technique that is heavily influenced by Limon and Taylor, as well as Vienna, Va.'s Connie O'Mara. One of Talu's shared experiences is in the Contemporary Dance Ensemble of Virginia Tech, where two of the founding members recently graduated.
Talu combines the camaraderie of CDE, the technique of the modern greats, and the unique location of the Washington, D.C. suburbs, to create a specially talented and fun company.
We are always looking for performance Opportunities. Please contact us with opportunities, recommendations and ideas!
Come support us at a performance, take a class with us, view some images of choreography, read more on the dancers's bios, or get in contact for more information. And don't forget to keep dancing!
